She.
My lead to everything honorable in being.
With her knight,
she soon flew off far away from here; far away from me.
I was lost. I didn’t know where to
go; what to feel.
I missed her. I wanted her right
next to me.
I needed her to tell me the
difference between right and wrong; the truth and the lies.
I needed her to find out the
reasons for my Whys.
Come one sunny morning, I wake up
and I think of her.
Looking at the empty side of the
bed, memories of her, conjure.
The little red box of her
possessions, that she left behind.
Called out to me, as if she was asking me for something to find.
I opened it, found our childhood
in there.
And a golden butterfly, that used to
adorn her hair.
My eyes sparkled as if I had just
seen a piece of diamond.
The smile on my face had mighty
widened.
I quickly put it in my hair.
Couldn't help but notice, how it exhibited a unique flair
I felt a sense of rush through my
head.
Like all of my complexity was now
being led.
And then,
I began to walk like a queen, the
way she does.
I began to talk with élan, the way she does.
I began to act all mature, the way
she does.
I began to take the finest judgments,
the way she does.
I began to care selflessly, the
way she does.
I began to love unconditionally, the
way she does.
I began to feel hopeful no matter
what, the way she does.
I began to look at the world with
fingers crossed, the way she does.
I began to feel
strong and tough, the way she does.
I began to feel
beautiful inside, the way she does.
The magic in her
butterfly, it was.
That I began to
feel like this absolutely wonderful woman.
The kind, that she is.
PALAK, THIS ONE'S FOR YOU.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SISTER.
LOVE YOU.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SISTER.
